Attention all young rugby enthusiasts!
Get ready to dive into the exhilarating world of touch rugby with the Howard County Hurricanes! Our program is a whirlwind of fun, designed for boys and girls of all skill levels, from rookie to pro.
Discover the thrill of this fast-paced Olympic sport and sharpen your skills on the field. Our co-ed touch rugby league (ages 5-16) is perfect for those looking to learn the ropes and make new friends. For the more adventurous boys (ages 15-19), we offer an electrifying tackle version, complete with heart-pounding tournaments.
As part of the Maryland Rugby State-Based Organization, you'll have the chance to showcase your talents against teams from neighboring counties. Saturdays are game days, with matches held at various locations.
The countdown begins with practices starting the first week of June, leading up to a season of epic matches from mid-June to the first week of August.

The 2024 season will begin on Tuesday June 4th.
Practices are held Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:30PM at the fields behind the East Branch of the Columbia Library. Games are played on Saturday mornings and some Thursdays in lieu of practice. We are members of the Maryland Rugby SBO and play other touch and tackle rugby teams from around the Maryland/DC area.

We offer a truly unique sports experience that will challenge the players both physically and mentally (yes-rugby is a thinking game) while having a lot of fun in the process. We are fortunate to have a great group of kids and parents participating throughout the years and look forward to growing our program.

We have been around since 1998 and offer rugby opportunities for players from ages 5 to 18. The younger players play a co-ed, two-hand touch version of the game that allows them to develop rugby skills and an understanding of the game without the concern of contact. The older players engage in full contact tackle rugby.
